Great emergency bailout!
I was without power for four days during an ice storm and my son loaned me his Halo. It kept my phone and Kindle charged while I huddled in front of my gas fireplace. When the power came back on and I returned his unit I immediately ordered this one.. an upgrade with an AC plug. It charges fully and you can check the level with the lights on the front panel. Charging my phone is easy and it does not change the charge level at all that I can see. The only warning I have is that it is not designed to run larger appliances (or even smaller ones.. did not like the drain of my blender). It will work with a plug in lamp and other things like a razor (mine at least) but if you want something to power a refrigerator buy a larger unit designed for that load. I have not tried to jump start a car with the supplied cables but have no reason to think it cannot. Hope my power stays on but if not, I'm not in as bad a spot as before I got this. Good product. Does what it says it will.
Great product when you buy it new. Do not buy refurbished though. Gives me several hours of power to run my potable mic and mixer. Will run smaller speakers but, as would be expected, larger speakers drain it more quickly. My suggestion: Buy this to run wireless mic systems, mixers, etc and get a good set of battery powered speakers.
