    Tank Pencil

    I have two of these. I refer to them as "field pencils", because I go out in the field and make engineering sketches with them of large equipment I frequently crawl on and around for access. I've broken plastic pencils before, leaning on them as I climb or something, these won't break. If dropped from up high, as long as the tip is retracted, it's good. They are heavy, but balanced. Might cause fatigue if writing a lot with them, but they are extremely tough. All metal. Being able to use and show different lead grades at a glance is great too. The grip isn't super soft, a mix between knurled and the oval knobs provide a slight cushion. These could very well outlast me, but probably would not handle a 15' drop on the tip to concrete. Then again, I wouldn't either, so there you go. Very well made, Industrial grade tool.

    Great Utensil !

    As a draftsman, I have used these pencils for years. I had a friend who liked my pencil, and I gave it to them. Had to get another just like it. You can't beat a metal barrel at the end to hold the lead together!

    Good quality, no fuzz

    Very nice quality for a good price, easy to use and has a nice ergonomic feel. The retractable tip is perfect for when traveling or when you need to carry your pen around, it makes sure the tip don't bend and the lead stays intact.

    It's great!

    I have a Pentel Graphgear 500 and it was great to use. I really loved using it for drawing and sketching. When I heard there was a Graphgear 1000, I had to buy one. After using it for some time, it feels great around your fingers and has a great flow on writing and drawing shapes. Would recommend if you enjoy sketching or writing.

    Best product I have used.

    It took a ridiculously long time to arrive (over 2 months). That said, I am a 72 year old draftsman, retired, and this is the best mechanical pencil I have ever owned! I am so impressed I plan to order 3 more. Covid 19 was probably part of the delay and it isn't that big of a deal in the long run.
