We previously owned a Dyson that has been with us for a couple of decades. The Meile was a bit more expensive but well worth it. Unlike the Dyson, we don't have to wind the cord anymore, step on the button, and it's easily retracted. I love the feature that allows me to adjust the brush height for different surfaces. It's very light yet powerful. You can definitely feel the suction has you pass the vacuum over the rug surface. So many professionals highly rate Miele vacuums. I finally had enough money to buy this discounted damaged box Miele. Quieter than my shrieking Kirby, yes it needs parts since it is 20 years old or older, but even new the Kirby is much noisier. I thought it was missing crevice and dust brush tools, but nope, stored in the canister. Self reeling cord is great since my wife always twists cords when storing prior vacuum cords. The reviews online at CS are correct. This is the best. After tiring of bagless vacuum messes that are cordless and underpowered, I leveled up several steps. Yes, it has a cord, but it is powerful, cleans the air, and keeps all the mess in the bag. Dust cups are no fun when you have anyone in the house with allergies. Only one of the tool ( one that have light on it) was to heavy for me, so I did replace it with the lighter version.
