  • Please with the product so far 😀

This was very easy to install on my antenna which is on my roof 10 ft above my chimmey. I have read the booths don't fit on the cables this true but I got mine to fit by cutting the bottom of the booths a 1/4 inches up and the cable fit in with no problem. I took electrical tape and wrap the booths where I cut them. I live in Seattle WA will see how long this last with all the rain we have here because I had bought another preamp that only lasted 4 months before it stop working. Ok I have gone from 13 channels now to 24 and only getting 25 to 30 percent receiving to now getting 45 on most of them to 70 percent. Like I said the cable will fit the 2 booths that come with it if you just cut the bottom a little bit to spread them open.

  • Don't waste your money

I purchased this because during certain weather conditions a couple of channels fade in and out during the day but come in great at night. I have an amplified antenna in my shop and don't have that problem there even though the antenna is lower than the house, 1 story vs 2 story. After going to the trouble to install this RCA amp which I was led to believe was a quality product I went from 83 channels before to 50 after and got no reception of the cahnnel I was trying to improve at all so I had to climb back up and remove this piece of Chinese made junk to get all my channels back.

  • Updated after almost two years

Plugged it to a existing lava antenna, seems to work but hard to tell. Changed to different 8 bay antenna, good brand and mounted on roof. Seems to pull little bite more channels when weather is good and improved quality on existing ones. Has been holding well in all sorts of weather, snow/rain/sun. This amplifier is a good buy.

  • great

I have one and had good luck with it I bought a second one for my dad, who lives in a suburb of St. Louis and it works great as well. It would be nice if it included the small length of coax needed to complete hook up and the weather protect boots don't fit over the coax connectors but for the price it is really a good working unit and easy to hook up. I now get 63 stations and they are all very steady I have had mine for 6 months and it is still going strong. I highly recommend

  • Great inexpensive preamp

Best, most inexpensive preamp. Works great in hard to reach areas further from the towers. Makes already weak signals stronger to the TV when you have lots of coax, splitters and multiple TV's where each degrades the signal.

  • A better preamp for less

I replaced a fairly new antenna preamplifier that costs more and highly rated. The RCA preamplifier does an even better job and I checked the signal strength with the old unit and with the new unit. The signal strength was better with the RCA which helps the weaker stations from going in and out. At about $15 less than the major name brand unit, the RCA is better all the way around.

  • Its helps the signal.

Still having 2 of my channels having low signal, but they not going in and out so 2 out of 6 not bad. Before I have only 2 good channels.

  • Great little device

Installed a 70+ mile antenna ~50ft above ground level, but the reception from towers 25 miles away was spotty and we were getting 18 - 21 channels depending on the aim with about 8 channels working fine and 2-3 being distrupted all the time and about 10 were showing blank. This device is easy to install, I've attached to my improvised antenna pipe, connected everything on my roof... And the moment I plugged in the power adapter on the other side of the house, plugged into my TV, which is about 80 feet away, my wife's favourite channel started working, all the other channels we're working as well, performed a search and we got 32 channels, all of them working. This a good buy and is very worth it's price. Recommend.

  • Works great!

I'm using two antennas, a UHF and a Hi-VHF. Works great! I receive more stations then expected. Came with boots to protect the connectors but I was not able to slip them over the prefab cable.

  • Does exactly what it says it does.

This is really good and does exactly what it says it does but it's a problem if you have maintains or lots of trees in the way. You will love it if you are close to a transmitter.
