Last model vs Newest model
Very satisfied, but only after one week of use. This unit is an exact duplicate and model number of the one it replaces that lasted a full seven years. Hoping for the same. I heard they're not making them the way they used to, so therefore did not buy the newest model which I usually do. The cost of this unit is just a few bucks less and my research displays only a new outside cover. My last unit, same model number as new unit, was made in USA, but I do believe my new unit and the newest model are both made in China, (supposedly designed in USA). Great Dehumidifier, Get one while you still can.
The Frigidaire FAD704DWD 70 Pt Pint Dehumidifier is a real trooper. This one is actually the second unit I have purchased. I now have the new unit working in our current house and the old unit at our old house while we remodel. The original unit has been running for four years in a very damp basement and has never missed a beat. It is set up for constant run draining into the floor drain system and will run hard from April to September (during warm damp weather). Both basements are dry and mold / mildew free. These units run as quiet or quieter than a standard 20" box fan and have a washable screen filter that is easy access. Wish Frigidaire had not discontinued these!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
