The lead actress had oddly short hair and a thick waist. Her view point wasn't fierce enough.

This was an excellent movie with a slightly different take on the Arthurian legend. The elaborate and inventive background stories for both Guinevere and Lancelot tell the story of a stronge, selfless woman character. Dedication to duty, loyalty and sacrifice are woven deeply into an interesting plot, were in a refreshing vain, King Arthur and Merlin are NOT central players. Excellent family fare, which should inspire the young ones.
I loved this version of Gwen, Arthur, Lancelot and Camelot. I never knew she was a pagan first and became Christian for Merlin who wanted this marriage to unite the kingdom. It was very interesting watching Gwen fight wars alongside her husband, King Arthur and that she did this even when she was preagnant. Even my husband found this to be a very interesting version of this legend.
I love watching anything during the time of Camelot. I just had to buy this dvd. I will purchase more dvd's of this era. I watched it as soon as I got my mail and then lent this out to my friends who were also intriqued by Guinevere and Sir Lancelot.
Very good Arthurian movie from the female perspective. I enjoyed watching this movie. Though it was not the best version of Arthur story, it was a worthy addition to the collection. It is interesting to see a very young Noah Wyle and Sean Patrick Flanery.
