Smooth, solid reel.
Got this reel for some saltwater fishing with the occasional foray into Musky fishing. Holds a good bit of pretty heavy braid. Has a lot of drag, which can be useful. Power handle is great. Not even close to ANY Daiwa Lexa(s)
I have ALL Lexa from cc to hd version and this “thing” slams on angler face with ss stainless steel gear n pinion... blah. 1st. Casting is horrible! The brake collards just popped out to on by itself! 2nd the handle knob is too close too the handle, hard to reel in or for cranking in, also it kept hitting my index finger. 3rd. My second one
Bought this to replace my daiwa lexa. I already have one primarily for trolling for salmon in my kayak. Its always been such a better experience than with the lexas performance. Only slight con about it is that it is a little bit larger than the lexa. The lexa was sexy lookin and just the right size.
