I bought with the intention of flashing my A320M motherboard to use my Ryzen 2200G that could not boot as the APU is unsupported. The trick was to buy either the first Gen Ryzen (bit pricier considering i already bought 2nd Gen Ryzen) or an earlier APU supporting the AM4 socket (cheaper) then update/flash the bios. Voila! it worked. Though it took time to arrive, the processor worked. The package arrived sealed in a small envelope with a small plastic case and bubble wrapped.

Authentic AMD CPU; works well.
Just bought it to update bios of an x470 motherboard. I didn’t even boot into any operating system but the code on box returned authentic when checked. A very compelling option if looking for something that boots into a minimal system, like a NAS.
