I have been using this oem ink for a number of years, since I bought my Hewlett Packard printer. The print comes out clear and vivid. The xl model lasts for many pages of print. It's a little pricey, but it is worth it. Years ago I almost ruined a printer by trying an off market product, so I only buy Hewlett Packard for my Hewlett Packard printer and I am happy with the result.

If you have good ink you get good print. I have a small but efficient HP printer and I use only HP ink. Something a little cheaper might work but I prefer not to take chances. You can hardly print a picture of any kind without black ink and so far everything from plain text to colorful photos have all turned out beautiful.
