  • TL-WPA4220KIT Wireless 300M Universal Powerline WiFi Range Extender

It took less than five minutes total installation time. It couldn't have been more simple. My wireless connectivity in the most Southern bedroom of the house went from a two bar signal strength to a full signal. There are occasions when connectivity drops and immediately comes back. I haven't been able to determine the cause yet. While it doesn't happen often it is frustrating to my children when they are on-line gaming and lose their session due to the signal dropping. Overall, I'm very happy with the product and would recommend it.

  • Big boost to WiFi.

Before purchase of the TL-WPA4220, I had a router in a room at one end of the house. It's internet input from the provider was advertised with a speed of 1gbps. All of my devices had been using WiFi at the other end of the house. I was achieving about 80mbps on the WiFi. When I directly connected ethernet to the router and my laptop, I achieved speeds of about 950 mbps. But I didn't want to run a 50 foot ethernet through the house, so I was interested in the powerline aspect of the TL-WPA4220. The TL-WPA4220 was simple plug and play. Excellent! The TP-Link TL-WPA4220 considerably improved the WiFi for my mobile devices, from speeds of 80mbps to close to 300mbps. So the WiFi aspect is very good. I connected the laptop using the powerline aspect of the TL-WPA4220. It did not improve the speed. It remained about 80 mbps. For now I attribute that to the nature of the household electrical wiring. So, it ends up serving as a WiFi booster for my devices using the WiFi. In my case the powerline aspect did not improve speed for my laptop, but it would improve a connection for those who can't use WiFi, or better security, for those who need it, by avoiding the use of WiFi. In the end I ran ethernet through the crawl space to the laptop, and I do get better than 900 mbps with it. Still, I'm happy because I paid $40 CAD which is a very fair price for a WiFi booster.

  • Waste of Money!!!

These are designed to be used on the same electrical-circuit. Why would one need to "extend" internet in the same or adjoining room on the same electric wire? I have used other power-line range extenders that did work as long as they were "in" the same electrical system. Don't waste your money on this product!

  • Don’t buy an extender. Buy one of these units instead.

I was in need of Wi-Fi in my garage, roughly one hundred fifty feet from my Wi-Fi signal in the house. Original signal from the house was very weak, slow and intermittent. This unit took all of two minutes to set up and get operating. The final result seems faster than my house Wi-Fi. If you need Wi-Fi anywhere that has electrical supply connected to your home, this unit performs flawlessly. Definitely recommended!!!!

  • To link signal booster and reciever

I got the wifi booster bc my internet provider said they have done all they can do to strengthen the signal through the house. Signal was very poor in the basement and the far end of the house. Now we have great signal throughout the entire house and even have signal now in the yard and the signal is strong. Unbelievably good. Trust me this system rocks. They say the houses electrical system serves as an antenna and I found it hard to believe but now I am a believer. It really fn works. I am happy . For 50 bucks it's a great deal. I got it a week after I ordered it. Not bad. I'm in the midwest u.s.a.

  • Power Line WIFI Extender

This is a great product with only "mediocre" instructions. Once I got the Utility program up and running, everything started to fall into place. My Ipad always would show a strong WIFI signal, but it was not until I got the Utility running that I was able to compare different wall outlets to track the data transfer across the power lines and chose the optimal locations.

  • Works as Advertised

Easy to set up and wifi speeds are great. a. Paired the transmitter and receiver b. Plugged the transmitter unit into an electrical outlet c. Connected the transmitter to the router via ethernet cable d. Plugged in the receiver unit into an electrical outlet e. Logged into TP-Link site using assigned network name and password f. Changed network name and password to match existing home wifi network g. Ran Speedtest with and without receiver unit plugged in and saw significant improvement in wifi speeds near the outlet with the receiver. It worked!

  • WI-FI Extender Review.

The Wi-Fi Extender is the best thing since Peanut butter. I sincerely recommend it. It’s better than digging a ditch for the earth cable or overhead. I would have had to go 142 feet. It works great.

  • Exceeds my expectation

We have a small room on the first floor where WiFi signal is very weak and unstable somehow from the router in the basement. There are many power outlets in the house. Such a powerline adapter works perfectly in such an environment of a single family house. I initially have some doubts whether this device works as advertised. It turns out that all electronic devices (Laptop, smartphones) have excellent connections right away in that room and beyond.
