  • Excellent Universal Remote

This is an excellent universal remote. I've had the Harmony Companion remote for several years and it worked very well once I got all the buttons programmed the way I want. I think the Elite is a much better remote, though. My favorite thing is that if I'm doing a Watch TV activity and I need to make an adjustment to the soundbar I can jump to that device on the remote and make my adjustments. Programming was easy, it's easy to use, and I love that it's got back lighting.

  • Great Remote

We don't use the full capability of the remote. We only use it to control TV and streaming. The remote covers all functionality of the original remote (at least the functions we use). The setup was easy, although when it scanned to see what devices were available, it assigned the wrong device for our DIRECTV devices. Other than that, it was a very easy device to program. The iPad app has much more functionality than the PC. I would suggest to always use the iPad or Droid app. The only issue I have with the unit is that the screen is sensitive and the Activities icons are fairly small. I find it a little difficult to press the correct button. Maybe my fingers are too fat. Good unit... Would certainly recommend this to anyone.

  • Best remote for under $1000

This thing is amazing! Super easy to program, it can all be done on your smart phone or tabllet. I had a Harmony One and a Harmony 1100D , both excellent remotes but a pain to program - the Harmony Elite you just plug it in and let your smart phone do the rest. Also works with Alexa which is nice for powering on and shutting off the system

  • Great product- not easy to program

Works perfectly but was extremely difficult to program. Previously, I was using a home theater controller that had to be programmed by the installer. Each time I wanted to make a change, I had to get him to come to my house and pay him. This completely replaced the commercial product. However, unless you are under 40 or extremely tech savvy, you won't understand how to program it. Luckily, I have a daughter...

  • Very happy with the Harmony Elite

I enjoy using the Harmony Elite remote because it handles all of the devices I have connected to my TV. It fits well in my hand and gives feedback when an LED option is pressed, so I know it took. I had a little trouble at first to get it to communicate with two devices but that was just a positioning issue with the IR blasters. I enjoy the ability to create my own tasks. The programming isn't that hard and there are templates. I was surprised to find that it can read my Roku and automatically offer the Roku options as LED options on the remote. It's somewhat intelligent in that it doesn't turn off devices shared by Activities when switching from one to another. I'm happier still that I didn't pay full price. I've put all of the individual remotes on a shelf.

  • I like it, but...

This is a great remote. I kind of like my Harmony one layout better. I switched to this one to get both RF and IR from the same remote. The hub works great inside a cabinet. The battery seems to last me about 3 day before needing recharging. The activities and devices buttons are real close to the forward and reverse buttons, so I often hit them by mistake, but I'm getting used to the different layout now. I wish it had a built in microphone button so I could talk to my Comcast X1, but that's not a big deal. Overall, I would recommend this remote as one of Harmony's best.

  • Maybe more than I need.

Does all it is advertised to do. One of the best ways to control TV using Alexa. Very easy to transfer Activities from previously owned Harmony remote. Mobile app is pretty good but must use PC SW to modify display for each Activity mode. Haven’t figured out how to control smart lights yet using remote but Alexa seems to do that well enough. So I likely could have gotten away with just the hub and a less expensive Harmony remote. Maybe Ill grow into it.

  • Upgraded from Harmony 1100

I upgraded because I was unable to update or make changes to the 1100 I had. I honestly feel like the 1100 form factor lended itself to a better layout for our purposes and was a little better due to the larger screen and being 2 handed. The new elite is a stretch to operate 1 handed for me and I have a little arthritis staring up so that doesn’t help. The elite does support our newer devices and is overall probably better and we’ll get used to it.

  • Great piece of tech—once you get it to work

I’ve had several Logitech smart remotes over the years. All of them suffer from the same issue: limited setup support, dated documentation, extremely difficult set-up. HOWEVER, once you compete your journey, the result is a great, one-remote entertainment experience. If they just made the set-up more reliable, it would be perfect. Due to recent OS security updates, the remotes are no longer able to be connected to MOST laptops to set the remotes and hubs up. Because of this, Logitech has moved to a mobile app platform, sounds good, right? After hours of trying to set up my remote using my iPhone, I gave up. I almost returned my Elite. Then, I dusted off an old Kindle Fire and attempted to set up using the android app. Got a little further, but still got stuck at the point when the app and hub try to communicate with the remote. Was about to re box everything and then I remembered an old way to pair remotes with hubs by holding menu and mute on the remote—THAT worked. But that can’t be found in ANY Harmony Elite documentation or support forums. C’mon Logitech!

  • Fantastic option for smart home users

I absolutely adore this remote. It makes life (and clutter) so much better for everyone in the household by taking away the guesswork on which device remote to grab for what! I love the fact that you can integrate with your home hub to make it voice controlled as well. I haven't even began to utilize it in all ways possible but would recommend this to anyone, especially smart home users or those that have alot of entertainment devices to control.
