    Everything I was looking for in a vacuum sealer, with a value price!

    I am basically sealing up my whole life with this machine! It sucks out all the air and seals beautifully. It is lightweight and has a small footprint. I also like that it has a separate SEAL button (it is used for creating bags out of the roll of plastic). The only thing that is not perfect is that the GENTLE button did not work for soft food like bread without the following workaround: Monitor the food as the machine is sucking out the air and hit the STOP button before the food begins to get mashed. Then use the SEAL button to seal it. Since the workaround fixes the problem, I did not lower my rating. I am going to try using this machine with Mylar bags. I have also ordered the canning jar attachment.

    Looks and Works Great

    Easy to use and store. It saves space with the vacuseal mode taking all the air out of packaging. The only downside is that the bags are a bit expensive. An 8X10 bag can cost between 20-30 cents. Maybe there are better deals on bags, I just haven't found them. The Nutrichef is a very nice machine with a good look.

    Best bang for your buck

    Works great. You have to watch it to make sure it is sealing properly. If not you'll end up with a crease and it won't seal. Would be nice if I had a latch or something to hold bag in place but for the money you can't beat it

    This is the fourth one I have had and it is a wonderful device. My only problem is that the plastic that keeps the lid down has broken on the last three I have had. They last about 6-9 months

    What a POS

    This thing works, but is quite cumbersome to operate. You have to have a helper because this piece of shit requires 4 hands to operate compared to other brads with a cutter and bag holder mounted onto the unit.

    Hard to snap closed.

    It is very hard to lock the top closed. You have to press extremely hard to get the top to snap shut. This is a replacement for the first one sent to me which would not close at all.
