So far, this lock is working. I needed to replace zigbee ones that I had in my house and this one works well since it's bluetooth and wifi. The overall impression isn't finished forming yet because I've only had it installed for a few days. The set up was really rough and it took a long time to get it to connect to wifi and register. Every change you make in the app requires it to "sync" and the lock is inoperable until that is done. I haven't been able to get the integration to work well with Google Home yet but my wife has. She is listed as the "home owner" in the app and I'm an admin. So I think that makes a difference but more testing is needed. If that is the case then that sucks because we both need access to the lock in routines and voice control. We don't want to use the Kwikset app, we want to use Google Home since that is our main interface for all electronics. I'll update after I get more testing done.Read full review

This unit comes with "SmartKey" device. D.I.Y. rekey lock to match other lock in the house. The unit is also battery powered. It has a "Low Battery" warning that will show up on connected smart devices. The batteries are easy the change. Pretty easy to install (must have drill and right size drill / hole saw. Once installed, the Kwikset Halo's operation was smooth. It can be programmed with hundreds of codes for different people to enter and send a notification to connected smart device which code was used to enter and time/date stamped.
