I just finished the last book of the series. I had never read any of John Saul's books so I wasn't sure what to expect. I had heard of THE BLACKSTONE CHRONICLES from reading a review that a friend was writing about another creepy scary book. She had mentioned The Doll in the first book, and how scary that was in comparison to the book that she was reviewing.I think dolls are creepy and I love a good scary creepy book to read before bed.I was surprised at the skinny 80 some what pages each the 6 books had.I was thinking that I had gotten burned,I had ordered them online so I didn't know how big that they where. So I started reading.I finished the first book that night and was hooked! What a good writer this author is!Every night after I would read one book.I was really into the stories, they had unexpected twists throughout the series.I really recommend this series to all.I also like that the books where short enough to read one a day!I will be searching for more of John Saul's books!Read full review
The Blackstone Chronicles is a creepy set of stories all revolving over one thing... an Asylum. The stories/series sets itself around strange occurences that being to take place as one by one, objects are left at peoples doors. Each object contains one memory of madness, from a person who was in the Asylum 40 years ago. Told by a true story teller, John Saul knows how to write a good horror book. The Blackstone Chronicles is a definite MUST for fans of both horror and John Saul. With these creepy installments, one will NOT be disappointed.
The book was in great shape. Almost like new. Very happy when it arrived.

The book is a great compilation of stories, it is very mind grabing and lets you get a look into another world where your problems just dont seem so bad. It takes you on a trip through things that r unbeleavable but make you think about what is real and what is not.
