Everyone in the family likes the "Dark Knight" from the future from the WB animation studio. (Or, you could call him "Tomorrow Knight...") Everyone in the family was disappointed when the show was cancelled. They had a great run. But what was even more disappointing was the final episode. It was just another proto-typical episode, and unceremoniously, the third season just ended. Eventually, demand for the episodes final created the release of some of the best, or better episodes from the series on DVD's. In the "School Dayz" collection, the three episodes, they show the new Dark Knight is under the pressure of being the new Batman, and attending High School simultaneously... a rather daunting combination... On the "Spellbound" side of the collection, three episodes introduce us to the characters "Spellbinder", and "Curare". As far as the WB was concerned, they only released 4 DVD's from the series before 2002. This was a discriminator in my opinion. They took the best characters, and the most memorable stories, and made special releases. It seems like after 2002, anything was on television, is now on DVD. Now, it seems like that at the local mall DVD outlet that you can get just about any season on any television show on DVD, like for example: "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea" in it's second season, to "Lost In Space" in it's third season, or "Emergency" in it's fourth season... So I am sure that if you really wanted to shop the malls, or the big outlet, you could find "Batman Beyond" in a DVD format right next to "Dukes of Hazzard" in it's entirety as well... I like this DVD, it has action, the voices are well speaking, and the actors are excellent in their voices.
