When I was a kid I had about all of the 45's-The Letter,Cry Like a Baby, Soul Deep, etc but I hadn't listened to the Box Tops for years. They were one of those groups that if I heard one of their songs every 10 years or so that was often enough. I always resisted buying a collection because I thought that their songs were catchy but trivial. It probably didn't help that Alex Chilton got such a big buildup with Big Star which I thought was a disappointing and overrated group. I'd recently decided to go back and relisten to all of the songs I'd listened to long ago and so I purchased this. It had all the songs that I remembered and wanted and in the original versions and it was enjoyable to hear these songs again althoguh there were no undiscovered gems in those songs I hadn't heard before. Just the hits but it was worth it.Read full review
