David Byrne fans are surprised (I know I was) when they come across this one. We're used to David's experimental stuff with eno but this is in a world of it's own. It's like David Byrne was reaching out to the traditional classical masters and at the same time trying to do a Philip Glass type project. There is enough world music to take the edge off the classical but overall it doesn't work for me. Now that's not saying this is bad. It's probably brilliant...just not my kind of thing. 3 stars.
