In this book, Dr. Lee defines estrogen dominance, which typically occurs during pre-menopause. The signs of pre-menopause can begin as young as 30 yrs. old. The author explains further that Natural Progesterone cream can serve as a balance to estrogen dominance. The author describes the benefits of Natural Progesterone cream over synthetic forms (Amen, Curretab, Cycrin, Provera). Numerous studies are cited from reputable institutions. The book also includes many testimonials of patients who used Natural Progesterone cream before, during, and long after menopause. I was referred to this book by a holistic doctor, and was thoroughly convinced by the evidence presented by Dr. Lee. The information in this book should be known by every woman past the age of 30. I read this book many years ago. Very helpful information for women who goes through menopause or wants to be ready for it. I gave my book away and now I bought it again for my younger friend. Hope it will help her as well. Highly recommend.

I am over 50 so am researching this topic. I have taken a look at just about every approach out ther ie: Dr. Eliz. Vliet (very good, lot of work), Uzzi Rice, Suzanne Summers, Wiley Protocol (too much estorgen). My, then, Dr. had me on BHRT 60 estrodial & 100 Progesterone w/ 1% testosterone. I wasn't feeling as good as I thought I should for the $$. So, a 2nd opinion Dr. insisted I get this book and follow the Blood Type diet. She took me completely off of estrodiol and reduced the progesterone to 30 (sorry, can't recall the dose). I am surprised that I didn't feel a dramatic difference one way or another with that change, but, actually do feel good and maybe feel just a little better. Sure am happier about less expense. I've glanced through the book and find it very easy to read and the material was not complicated. I like the way the topics are grouped together so you can easily find an answer to your question/subject.Read full review
For a balanced discussion of what occurs in a woman's body before, during, and after menopause, read this book. It is a little technical, but offers alternative thinking to a discussion of AMA and FDA practices. The balanced truth permits informed decision unlike the propaganda promoted on TV and in the doctors offices. A fascinating book easily worth your time. It may help you avoid the mistakes that contribute to the wrong treatments so often prescribed for women. I have a woman in my life who is starting down the road to menopause and we both came away with a better understanding of this phase of life. Menopause is not a disease that needs to necessarily be treated with drugs; rather, it is a time of change and an opportunity to find natural compounds which help restore the body's hormonal balance. Be well.Read full review
Every women in their 20's should read this book. I've been giving it to my friends and they are shocked when they learn that they have been taking synthetic hormones their doctor's prescribe...which are crippling women with breast cancer. The problem with this generation is that they don't read. The information about what is happening to women who go on synthetic hormones is out there, but women don't have time to do the research on what they are being given, believing what their doctors tell them at the detriment of their own health. Do yourself a favor...lesson your chances of developing breast cancer by being informed. The drug companies want you to have cancer...that's how they make a ton of money.
