Man-O-War are the ultimate in power metal, or fantasy metal, whatever you want to call it, like Dio and Rainbow to the hundredth power, and I still think that Triumph of Steel is to this day their greatest album, as it has five of my top 10 Man-O-War songs. For the record: 1) the Power (from Louder than Hell) 2) Achilles: Agony and Ecstasy (Triumph) 3) the Demon's Whip (Triumph) 4) Gods of War (from the album of the same name) 5) Heart of Steel / Herz aus Stahl (from Kings of Metal) 6) Burning (Triumph) 7) the Power of thy Sword (Triumph) 8) Nessun Dorma (from Warriors of the World) 9) Spirit Horse of the Cherokee Triumph) 10) Blood of the Kings (from Kings of Metal) So, every single song on Triumph of Steel is awesome! With the one exception of Metal Warriors, of course, which is semi-quasi-halfway-more-or-less-OK. While they have dozens of in praise of metal songs, some of them are great (Gloves of Metal, from Into Glory Ride, is by far the greatest), some of them are trash, and Metal Warriors definitely is at the low end of that particular spectrum. But, aside from that, every song on this album rules! Achilles, their half-hour long dedication to the Iliad, captures the spirit of the Iliad better than anything else in all existence, besides the Iliad itself, of course. Master of the Wind is an excellent ballad, if you like power ballads, as I certainly do. Spirit Horse of the Cherokee is absolutely stunning. Way back in 1982, Iron Maiden released their album, Number of the Beast, on which is one of their all-time best known songs, Run to the Hills, the first (as far as I know, anyway), metal song ever dedicated to the plight of the Amerindians. A decade later, Man-O-War made Spirit Horse of the Cherokee, and far surpassed Maiden's accomplishment. So, Iron Maiden did it first but Man-O-War did it best. Now, I'm not belittling Iron Maiden; Run to the Hills is a good song; but Spirit Horse absolutely buries it. And the rest - Ride the Dragon, Burning, the Power of thy Sword and the Demon's Whip - are just pure, raw, brutal, ruthless, unforgiving power metal in its purest form.Read full review

I like this music, therefore I and have bought this CD! I have bought this CD because I like this music and the price appeared suitable!
I bought this album because the drummer on it Rhino who is no longer with Manowar now plays in my band Burning Starr,it is a good album and Rhino plays great on it
It's called awesome, check it out, or Manowar will slay you like a level-four red dragon. Any music where the ultra-masculine borders on the homo-erotic is totally bitchin.
