When the the movie "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" was first released to theaters back in 1975, almost nobody seemed to notice it upon its initial release. But, after 15 years as a midnight cult favorite, it finally made its home video debut back in 1990. The original packaging was unique; the cover had raised embossed lips on the front, the cassette shell was both red-and-black, and the videotape contained not only the movie but also a special prologue and a "Time Warp" music video. 8 years later, a Special Edition version had the movie, plus 2 deleted song sequences at the end: "Superhoeroes" and "Once In A While". Finally, the 25th anniversary release featured the "Superheroes" number re-edited back into the film where it belongs. Is this science fiction? A musical? A fantasy? A comedy? Yes; it is all that, and a whole lot more. The film tells about Brad (Barry Bostwick) and Janet (Susan Sarandon), who end up at a castle after a flat tire. There, they meet up with Dr. Frank N. Furter (Tim Curry), who is in the midst of finishing his own special creation: a man he names Rocky Horror. They also meet servants Riff Raff (Richard O'Brien) and Magenta (Patricia Quinn), and groupie Columbia (Nell Campbell). The soundtrack features nearly 20 songs, which are all well-integrated within the plot of the story. By far, the most famous song is that of "The Time Warp", which occurs during the party scene. Another highlight is Meat Loaf as Eddie, performing "Hot Patootie, Bless My Soul", a really charged-up number. "Rocky Horror" is a different kind of movie experience. And, as the original tag line for the film states: "A different set of jaws."Read full review

I love this movie! We went many years ago and saw it at the theater with all the audience participation (which caught us completely off guard, but made for a hell of a good time). The music is wonderful, the campiness an art and the fact there is no other movie out there like it is why I bought it. Tim Curry is superb in his part, and seeing a young Susan Sarandon isn't bad either. Meat Loaf is suprisingly good, so buckle up and enjoy [:-)
This is the greatest Cult Classic of all time, and a must see for anyone over 13, The Bizare Transvestiet aliens from The land of Transexual on the Planet of Transelvania are invaiding, Put on your panties and Garder belts and take in the floor show, it'll make you shiver with antisipa ---- tion!!!
I bought this because I could not find it anywhere else. My husband loves this movie. It's a classic. It also has a young Susan Sarandon, besides having Tim Curry.
