Another classic Joe Scott & Mesple family CD. Wind Machine has an acoustic guitar sound and by adding a piano, a pennywhistle, some light percussion, light synthesizer backgrounds or melody lines, occasional vocals and a bit of love, they create an entertaining and relaxing feeling. You can hear the influence of the early Pat Metheny Group -everyone recording at that time could hardly avoid experimenting with that sound because it was so popular and the record companies encouraged all their artists to capture a bit of that feel on their recordings. Joe Scott went on to form Acoustic Eidolon where his "guitjo" double-necked guitar sound is mixed with a solo cello. A very nice spirit and sound as well.
