My daughter is 9 years old (almost) and loves music...espcially country music. She sings it in the shower, she sings it in the car, she sings herself to sleep with it and it is usually the first thing out of her in the morning. She sings it when she eats, sleeps, drinks,...and does her homework. Therein lies the problem. How can anyone concentrate with so much distraction and so many ideas and words flying through your head? The solution? An idea that was not born by me, but definately embraced by me. My sister is an English teacher and hes a list of music that is chosen specifically for use while children are working on school work. I asked her for a copy of it and chose this title to begin expanding and enriching my young daughter's mind. She also plays the guitar, so I specifically chose this one because it has guitar music on it. While my daughter still loves country, which is fine with me, this was not meant to replace Shania Twain, she has really enjoyed this CD and often chooses to put it on herself, especially when we are cooking together or eating dinner. I intend to buy more titles from the list my sister has. You can never have too much music in the house, especailly when it varies, inspires, calms, soothes, livens, dances in your heart and brings your family closer together.Read full review
Music is thoughtful, reflective, somewhat melancholy. Remarkable, quiet, rather slow tempo jazz played by the highest caliber musicians. Music that is custom made for a quiet evening at home.
A Classic studio recording from 2 of the all time best.It gives me chills to listen to.Cork a nice red wine or shake a martini sit back relax and enjoy the worlds finest.
Par Metheny is my favourite musician. I like the sound of his guitars, and this CD is especially mild and pleasant.
