I am giving this movie an Excellent rating because it more than lived up to my expectations as one of the worst Horror movies ever made. I purchased this movie to add to my husbands growing collection of the "Worst Horror Movies Ever Made". He was thrilled to get this one.(no one understands it but, we all smile and humor his obsession) At the time I purchased it this movie was rated Number 8 on the IMDB list of worst horror movies. I deserves the rating. The movie is a really bad horror movie but, has great humorous moments in it to keep you entertained throughout. The story is simple. 2 C&W singers along with their manager are travelling to a Jamboree in Nashville when they decide to stop and rest for the night in an ...abandoned mansion. Naturally the mansion is not really abandoned but the secret headquarters for a band of "foreign " spies led by Madame Wong. There are a lot of songs by the variety of singers in this movie. The movie has an interesting cast from both the horror film and the C&W music industry. John Carradine, Lon Chaney and Basil Rathbone are joined by Joi Lansing, Ferlin Huskey, Merle Haggard, Sonny James and more. Overall I would highly recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys a Horror movie gone bad. At least this one is highly entertaining and keeps you laughing and tapping your feet to the music.Read full review
Not in the mood for Citizen Kane? Well, have I got a picture for you! Its got classic cars, MONSTERS, (well kinda), REAL country music, (not the hayseed infused tripe they sell us today) Ferlin Husky, an uber hawt Joi Lansing, and Three, count, em, THREE, classic horror actors! You just gotta take this trip down memory lane. Plenty of faulty sets, fake monsters, a buncha country stars I'm not familiar with, but a very young and talented MERLE HAGGARD, who alone makes this a must see. Overall, great little picture with a lot to offer.............ENJOY!!

Saw this movie on a list of 50 worst films of all time. Got it for my Dad for his birthday and he loves it. The movie itself was in no danger of picking up any academy awards but has a cast full of people those of us who were around in the 60's & 70's will remember. It's like a time capsule. If someone buys this movie thinking it's a horror film or that it makes a profound statement of some kind like everything has to do today you'll be disappointed. If you can appreciate and enjoy the fine art of stupidity for stupidity's sake this movie would be a fine addition to your collection. Think 60's Batman compared to the newer brooding/morose Batman that looks like he needs to be on antidepressants.

Schlock horror film but fun if you know what to expect. Hillbilly rock and low budget "horror". I bought it because it had Basil Rathbone, John Carradine and Lon Chaney Jr. in it. Just don't expect a classic. :)

I bought this movie mostly because of being a fan of several cast members including: John Carradine, Lon Chaney, Basil Rathbone, Joi Lansing, and Merle Haggard. The movie itself is a cheesy mystery and has the makings of a Three Stooges episode without all the violence and childish antics. The storyline is about a trio who are on a road trip to Nashville, Tennessee who decide to spend the night in an abandoned mansion and have to investigate into what appears to be a haunted house. I again found the movie entertaining because of the cast. John Carradine, Lon Chaney, Joi Lansing, and Basil Rathbone carry the storyline through their usual superb acting ability. It was also a treat to see Merle Haggard at the beginning of his incredibly successful singing career.
