A mob comedy in which ex-mobster Jimmy "The Tulip" Tudeski (Willis), who's now living in Canada as part of the Witness Protection Program, becomes a target yet again, much to his dismay. All of this is because of the couple next door--more specifically, his neighbor's greedy wife, Sophie (Arquette). When Sophie learns of Jimmy's true identity, she sends her befuddled husband Nicholas (Perry) to Chicago to track down the mob and inform them of Jimmy's whereabouts, expecting a fruitful reward in return. From there, events spiral even further out of control.
In 2000, Matthew Perry and Bruce Willis starred in The Whole 9 Yards, where Bruce plays Jimmy the Tulip, a former gangster who's in some kind of WPP after testifying against some rival gangsters. His new next door neighbor, Oz, discovers the truth and, through some tricky maneuverings and henpeckings from his wife, Sophie, soon finds himself heavily involved with gangsters, Jimmy's former friend, Jimmy, secrets, and Jimmy the Tulip's former wife, Cynthia. Anyway, the tape played perfect. It didn't skip, blur or fuzz. As for the movie, just watch this one and skip the rip-off of a "sequel." Many people have and don't know that rip-off for a good reason. They certainly can't be wrong.
The Whole Nine Yards
Bruce Willis, Matthew Perry, Amanda Peet, and Natasha Hendstridge headline the superb cast in this absolutely hilarious action packed thrill-ride.
A great movie for action and comedy fans alike.
Final Verdict:
5/5
Rent or Buy?: The Whole Nine Yards is a must buy for action and comedy fans.
