I bought this movie for my daughter's 6th birthday. She has already seen this movie several times and it is one of her favorites. She loves to watch it again and again, since she knows what to expect. This movie has very cute characters and great humor. The voices are superb. My daughter especially likes Donkey and Gingie (the Gingerbread Boy). I highly recommend this movie, and its sequels, to anyone with young children. I even like it. An excellent family show.

Love this movie. Beautiful graphics. A twisted fairy tale about love and friendship. One of the best animated movies out there. Starring Mike Myers as Shrek the ogre and Eddie Murphy as the donkey, is hilarious. John Lithgow is deliciously evil as the perfectionist, Lord Farquaad, who enlists the aid of Shrek, the reluctant hero, to rescue a princess. Cameron Diaz is princess Fiona, a modern day heroine, looking for her true-love to break the spell she has been under since childhood. After a series of misadventures, there is a satisfying happy ending with an unexpected surprise. Definitely not just for kids!
