Great Music Poorly Mixed
I agree that this content represents the best of Coltrane (a subjective opinion with which others would disagree). The music itself is amazing. The fidelity of the recording is very good but the mixing of this recording was disappointing. There is almost no stereo imaging in this CD. One's attention is drawn directly to the speakers rather than to a soundstage filled with music coming from various locations. Still, the music is great in spite of this defect.
