Spider-Man' is the story of a young student, Peter Parker, who is bitten by a genetically altered spider during a class field trip to a laboratory. Peter later finds out that because of that bite, he has developed super human powers, and as a result, he has incredible strength, dexterity, and awareness of his surroundings. Peter later finds out that he has another power that allows him to climb walls and shoot spider webs from his wrists. With these new powers and a love interest Peter becomes distracted which leads to tragedy in his life which inspires him to use his new powers to fight crime. This is an action packed movie that features big-name stars including Kirsten Dunst, James Franco, Willem Dafoe, and Tobey Maguire. With a runtime of 121 minutes and a rating of PG-13, it is a great family movie.

Spider-Man!
Spider-Man (2002) is an awesome movie directed by Sam Raimi, and starring Tobey Maguire. I highly recommend this movie. The movie has a compelling story, great characters, and awesome action. Tobey Maguire really did a superb job acting as Peter Parker/ Spider-Man, and he's my favorite Spider-Man actor of all time. I grew up with this movie, as well as 2, and 3. Give Spider-Man a go. The movie will definitely keep you entertained, and you just might enjoy it!

Better Than The Adaptation That Came After
One of the blockbusters of 2002, this film came out doors blasting open. The origin story of how Spider-Man does not fail to impress. From the moment where Rousseau was proved right (There was no alternate ending involving the World Trade Center. That was just a scene shot for the original trailer.) to when Peter starts using his powers. Many of the important scenes are scripted and shot perfectly to invoke the right kind of reaction from the audience. Thus, the scripting and directing was done perfectly and the ideas executed perfectly. Just skip Spider-Man 3 and only see the first sequel after seeing this one.
