A disquieting film based on a real incident of the Vietnam War (according to Daniel Langs report in 1969 in The New Yorker), a soldier played by Michael J Fox suffers a crisis of conscience when the men on his patrol kidnap, rape and murder a Vietnamese girl and then try to cover up the crime. Brian De Palma (Mission Impossible, The Untouchables, Scarface, etc) directs this film and is uncompromising in his tale of brutality and the dehumanizing effects of combat on men. Sean Penn co-stars as a vindictive squad leader, who initially comes up with the idea of the kidnapping-after suffering casualties during the war and try to get "payback" for his losses. A good, but not great film, it will fill a nights entertainment if you like war action or Vietnam War movies as it has a realistic engagement between the patrol and a Viet Cong force that is very good.Read full review
Good movie However, there was no tracking with number provided. Arrived package was taped so tight? That you could actually very easily break the entire disk could gave very easily. Luckily my God showed me what to do to manipulate it until it worked.

remake of a real story from the Vietnam war if I recall correctly. Certainly a tale of morality and doing the right thing. Very engaging story and lesson.

I LOVE GOOD MOVIES. THIS IS A REALLY GOOD, WAR MOVIE, FROM THE LATE 1980'S. IT HAS A GREAT CAST. A VERY DARK AND HARD TO WATCH STORY. A VERY FITTING TITLE. OUT OF MANY WAR MOVIES, THIS ONE IS A TRUE GEM. WELL WORTH, ADDING TO YOUR COLLECTION.
