  • Great Followup

The original miniseries was a huge television breakthrough with its intriguing storyline and dazzling pre-CGI special effects. The story continues with the same cast taking up where the last series ended. This one is much longer and has several dry patches that would have benefited from a little editing. Still it is engaging and goes into greater depth including the infamous birth scene. The series clocks in under 5 hours on 2 discs. Sound and picture are good with optional subtitles. First rate.

  • V

Great mini-series from the 80’s. Cheesy, but great. Biggest complaint is the way Warner Brothers packaged the DVD’s. Episodes are is back to back on first DVD, be careful and not play the wrong episode/side first. Have fun and enjoy TV the way it was meant to be. Cheesy movies, popcorn and soda pop!

  • OK continuation but I can see why the original series creator departed from the series

This is a continuation of the original 1983 series. The series starts off good but it kinda ends absurdly. It was ended this way because they wanted to continue the series for the sake of more episodes. I can see why the original series creator decided to leave the series. The original series stayed true to the Sinclair Lewis novel, "It Can't Happen Here", even on how it ended.

Excellent epic 80's sci-fi mini-series chronicle's conclusion. Especially noteworthy are special effects as well as performances by Marc Singer and Michael Ironside.

  • A trtenedous sci fi series

This is a classic sci fi series from the 80s that is well deserving of high praise. The characters are multidimensional and the plot, while fantastical, is engrossing and keeps you tuned in to the very end. Sure, aliens coming to this planet is noit a new plot device, bu Kenneth Johnson's story blazers its own path. Stellar performances from Jane Badler and Faye Grant are helped tremendously by the supporting cast. This series is well worth it for fans of great science fiction.

  • an old show thats still going strong.

This is a series I remember watching way back in the 80s, and Ive loved it, if for no other reason than its a realistic what if type of situation with some great cast members. Even if no one else cares about it, I do. I finish with this, I would buy more of these if I didnt need just 1 copy but its still worth it. James

  • An old favorite in a modern format!

I thoroughly enjoyed the entire "V" series when it was originally presented on TV and now, this set, along with two other "V" packages I purchased gives me the chance to revisit this brain candy whenever I like. I think that the reason I enjoy this series so much, despite the penchant for overacting displayed by a couple of the principal characters, is because I really enjoyed the overall plot that seemed to be an updated serialization of the classic Twilight Zone episode "To Serve Man!" It's just too bad that the remake of the series ran out of steam before it could run its course...

  • Still Has "It"

By modern standards, you'd think an interstellar faring race could easily synthesize everything they'd need from one part of a gas giant. But an engaging cast, and great fun.
