This is one of the few movies in wish Marilyn Monroe does not play a dumb blond which is nice. The movie is about a millionaire who is about to be lambasted in an off Broadway show who goes to put a stop to it. He arives at the theater just in time to see Marilyn's character do a performance of "My Heart Belongs to Daddy" which uses a common nickname back then for sugar daddy but comes off a bit to insestuous for me. Anyway just after her number the theater is doing casting to portray the millionaire, he signs up to impress Marilyn's character then proceeds to make and ass of himself the rest of the movie trying to win her. All in all it is an okay movie, not Marilyn's best but that is due to the material and not her acting. A good one for the fans to see but Gentlemen Prefer Blonds is better.Read full review
I bought this DVD as a birthday gift. Yves Montand was reservedly delightful as the billionaire businessman who made a fool of himself just so he can be close to a beautifully innocent showgirl, played by Marilyn Monroe. And Marilyn being Marilyn, played the sexy innocent to the hilt. A fun comedy to watch with family.
Great
