  • Versatile Acting Is Here On Display...

Boring? What? This film may not have been allowed the advertising campaign it should have gotten, but it's a great display of talent, nevertheless. In fact, the credits provided with the DVD don't even identify two of the best characters in this film: Keith and Vicky Michaels, who were played by Michael Rooker and Debra Kara Unger, respectively. Although the screenplay isn't exactly on the Steven Zaillian level, the acting, once again, is top notch. After playing characters like Steff (Pretty in Pink) and Michael (Bad Influence), James Spader finally got to show off his versatility as Lee Woods (2 Days In the Valley) and as Ronnie Stover in this film. In my mind, the "big-named talent" in this film were forgettable when compared to the lesser-knowns. If you want to see some people spreading their acting wings, sit down and watch Keys to Tulsa.
