After dying by the hand that used to help him, Tsukasa vanishes from "The World" as his friends know it for a while. The longer he is gone, the more his friends begin fearing for him, and Bear becomes certain he knows Tsukasa's identity in the outside world. When Tsukasa returns, he seems to be missing memories and thoughts he had before. All the characters relationships change in this volume, from B.T. and Crim in the outside world, Lady Subaru and the Crimson Knights, to Tsukasa and Subaru's relationship in "The World." The .hack (pronounced dot hack) universe spans anime, manga and video games, and all are intertwined one way or another. I completely enjoyed this entire series, and unlike a lot of anime today has an ending I can accept and enjoy. The fourth volume has episodes 15-18 of the series and you start to fear for Tsukasa's safety in "The World" and cheering on Lady Subaru for standing up for Tsukasa despite the Crimson Knights view. The series isn't really for the anime fan that only wants something action packed, but anyone who likes a well told story will really enjoy this series.Read full review
The disc was fine but the case was broken and the wrong size so the spine doesn't line up properly on my shelf
