This is a very enjoyable (black and white)movie, especially for Peter Sellers fans. It is interesting to see him employ his use of accents, and facial expressions. Most of us came to love him as bumbling Inspector Clouseau, and this provides a look at a different character. As others have said, this is more of an ensemble piece, rather than a Peter Sellers flick. I guess I would describe it as good clean fun, with a touch of British naughty humor thrown in for good measure!
This little shown Peter Sellers movie is a classic from 1960. Sellers plays an inmate who devises a way to escape from prison to rob a bank, hide the goods and then sneak back without anyone knowing, finish out his two week sentence then go collect the money. Sounds simple, right? You're forgetting it's Peter Sellers! Shenanigans abound at this comically hospitable prison. You may have to buy this DVD because I have not seen it for rent in a long while.
