If you have been a fan of Gary Moore at all, or if you like good blues-based hard rock, this is a CD for you. Although, at times (especially the first two tracks) the vocals are not as solid as usual, this album ROCKS and rocks hard! Gary Moore, who has sadly passed away in the last few weeks, RIP brother, is playing with a power and intensity that has been sometimes missing in his previous few blues releases. As fast and melodic as ever, and with power to spare for the hardest rocking listener, this CD is a must have for those who want to hear what rock guitar heroes are made of. Gary Moore, keep on rockin' wherever you are!
it's so strange that it's not a solo release from gary moore.infact this is what i guess it's a side project he created. the band is called scars. it features gary moore on vocals and guitars, cass lewis on bass and background vocals, and last but not certanly the least darrin mooney on the drums.anyway this is one hell of a group of musicians who performed real well on this cd.songs like rectify, world of confusion, wasn't born in chicago, and when the sun goes down seems to be destined as leading towards as hard rock with a bluesy edge.i love the cd so much, but i still cannot put my finger on it.i think it's both a solo album and a project album at the smae time.anyway go pick up scars the cd and enjoy it at a maximum volume.crank it up,and rock out.
I am very happy to get this CD
