But with that said it still gets 3 stars on my scale. The vocals are (of course) very good, percussion is top notch as well as the guitar work. The reason I find this to be the weakest of all Bon Jovi's material is it is so highly commercial, and this was the time period when the band seemed to be writing music more to get it done and less because they wanted to please us fans. What you get here is good rock music delivered well, but its missing the heart, passion and soul that the first 5 years of the band had managed to convey in their songs...but its still pretty decent, just not something I play on a regular basis any more.
I really love Bon Jovi, All of his music is great...no matter which CD your listening to...I bought this CD for my son who also loves Bon Jovi...This is one of the few artists that I love and my kids love as well and that I can actually feel comfortable allowing them to listen...
