    Volvo Penta 5.7L GXI Fuel Pump

    I purchased this Fuel pump as a replacement for the Volvo Penta original installed on my boat. The pump is a perfect replacement for the OEM original at 10% of the cost ! I installed the pump and cone ted all the lines and the engine fired up instantly. I have not logged any hours on the new pump yet. My only complaint about this product is that the filter/Separator was on so tight I could not remove it. Note that this product is a direct OEM copy of the original part including the painting in the flow inlet side. At this price, I can afford to carry a spare just in case.

    So far so good

    My only concern is the black paint in the areas where fuel passes. That was the main problem with OEM units when the ethanol in gasoline dissolved the paint which plugged the screens and causes pump failure. This may take a few years but I will examine the internals after a year or so.
