Excellent Radar Detector

Pioneer AVIC-5200NEX
I'm a big Pioneer fan. I had many Navi units and this one the 5200NEX is bang for your buck. Excellent screen quality and clarity. I love the auto pop-up overhead sign warnings. If you had a Pioneer Navi like any of the "BT" units, the NEX Navi's are not as traditional. This is a good thing. With a completely different interface you need to learn whats happening. The NEX unit can play DVD (if by-passed) the auto dimmer with headlights and time as well is a great feature. The overhead beginning to end destination view is good. That's stuff that passengers on air planes see when on long travels. Sound quality is excellent and what you can expect from Pioneer. The 5200NEX unit beats any unit in the past that Pioneer came out with, and yes its really an entry level navi unit of the NEX models but it way better than my 120BT that used to be the flag ship model which was way over priced for what it is and not worth anything today. So far I'm pleased with this radio. To properly interact with the on board electronics, it had to be professionally installed, (and I'm an electrician) but that was not a huge deal.
