Would work if it were not sensitive the dog tags rattling.
I like petrainer products but this one is a little disappointing. I don't put my dog outside without dog tags on in case it gets out. City tag, Rabies tag, ID tag rattle against the barking collar making it go off constantly. My dog just lays down and is scared to death to move. She won't even scratch or shake her head. Stops the barking!
I was skeptical when I bought this unit only because several other brands I'd bought didn't work. This unit really does the trick with our chihuahua mix, no more barking. The settings buttons are good because they allow for a variance in warnings to the dog. When she has it on (which is most of the day), it's on setting number 2 and that one does the trick. She is a chihuahua so the minute you take it off she barks at door knocks etc. we leave it on sometimes without being on because she associates the collar with the sound when wearing. The battery lasts about 10 days between charges with no issues. We're happy we bought unit becuasexher barking was so bad our quality of life was suffering! Definitely not for small dogs
I would recommend this product for dogs large than 30lbs. I purchased it for a small dog about 15lbs and it absolutely does not fit. It is the size of a chihuahuas head. Works well, good price
I like this one, rechargeable with a light to tell you when it's dead or charged. I've had other ones that you had to change the batteries and you don't know it's dead and they are the pricey watch type. I also like that this one gives a warning vibration, he has learned what that means and we don't hear him yelp from being shocked like the other ones. I don't really like the collar, it's just a piece of plastic with holes, which mean it doesn't loosen up, which is good, but you have to hope it's not one hole too tight or next hole too loose. Sensitive

Not for dumb dogs.
The shock collar is a good price and may work for most dogs. My Big American Bulldog that just knows he has been abandoned when we are not in direct eye sight will bark, hesitate at the correction, then ignore it if he feels like it. I bought these collars hopimg to have a better battery life, at best the batteries may last a day and half.
