Dyson 900252-04 Fixed my noisy vacuum problem. like new again.
Easy fix for a noisy clutch type vacuum, that sounds like marbles rolling around inside and you can`t find anything else that would cause this noise in the brush bar. Last O.E.M. was good for 9 years, time will tell with this O.E. M one. perfect replacement for original clutch. Everything lined up for an easy reassembly. Just like new again. If you don't know how to do this, use youtube. Looked like a new one

Vacuum works like new again

The Dyson vac works like new
The part I got was genuine Dyson part in the original packaging and part number. My Dyson vac works like new after the replacement. There are youtube videos explaining how to do this. They use a special tool, which is good to have if you run a repair shop. I managed to pull the rubber belt and widened the opening to put the brush through with a pair of long node pliers. eBay sometimes puts a same review under the similar items sold by different sellers. I got the real Dyson part, but the listing you are looking at might not be. Verify it is not a cheap knock off. Made my dyson new again!
OEM product so quality expected. Our Dyson had lost its ability to get that dirt and hair up out of the carpet and after cleaning the brush I noticed the belts seemed loose. After disassembly I noticed a crack in the clutch so decided to replace the entire assembly instead of the belts. This made the vacuum perform like new. I didn't realize how wore out it was. If you don't want to take-apart your clutch
Replacing this clutch is the easiest way to replace the belt that drives the brush roll. If you're handy with snap-ring pliers, you can disassemble your own clutch and install a new (much cheaper) belt, but taking apart the clutch is a little tricky. However, there are step-by-step videos showing how to do it. It might be worth getting the belt replacement tools that stretch the belt so that you can slip the brush roll under it. I'm sure you could do it with just a strong hooked tool, but you'll need seven hands.(strong ones) Check for videos that show how to do it so you can judge what you feel comfortable taking on.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

You don’t realize how stretched your belts are until you replace them!
Those belts get stretched and loose and while you don’t always need to replace the whole clutch it’s so much easier than just replacing the belts. At these prices just get the unit and put it in in 5 min or spend 30 min fighting with the belts and all the tiny clips and pieces. Your Dyson will be picking things up like new again. Be prepared to thing these are the wrong belts because yours are so stretched out. A long thin screwdriver is helpful to get the belt on the beaterbar.
