Easy setup, Works well, Minor drawbacks
This Smart Switch is not dimmable. I did not need that feature so opted for this less expensive model. Works well for me. It is about 20 ft from my router and the wifi signal has to pass through one wall. Easy to program using the Kara App on my phone. Only drawback for me is the location of the reset button on the front/bottom of switch. Must take care to not compress the button with tight fitting cover plate and also while pressing the manual on-off switch plate. OB Kasa 1 way Smart Switch - a great switch.
The OB Kasa switches have been one of the best switches I have in my system. I wish I could find a 5 wire three way from this company. With the 5 wire switch you can just replace one end of the 3 way circuit and things work. I added this so I could use my second outlet on a switched wall outlet up by the ceiling in a nook. I have to leave that switch on for a security camera but also wanted to have a lamp up there. Works very well and was easy to install. Now, when I wake up in the middle of the night and need to make a short trip I just tell my Google Home Mini to turn on the bathroom light. Just what I was looking for
Needed a Wi-Fi switch so I can turn on the outside lights when heading home at night. The Kasa pp is simple so my wife can use it too. People just need to know that it may not work in older houses because they don't always have the neutral wires included in switch boxes. According to the literature, this switch will carry up to 15 amps, which makes it suitable for switching outlets safely as well as lights. It was easy to install and program. I have it integrated with my Echo(Amazon) system. I tell Alexa to turn off the kids lights, and "CLICK" all the kids lights in all the kids rooms go off. Expecting to save some money there.
