I bought this movie because I am a huge fan of the classics. I am also a big fan of Orson Wells. The movie is set in a small town with Charles Rankin played by Orson Wells who is an infamous Nazi war criminal. In comes Mr. Wilson played by Edwin G. Robinson as the war criminal investigator. The dialogue between Mr. Rankin and Mr. Wilson is excellent and as the movie progresses it is interesting to watch the increasingly frantic Charles Rankin as he tries to stay one step ahead of Mr. Wilson. The plot is well established and leads to a powerfully suspenceful conclusion. The only complaint I had was that the conclusion was a little abrupt. If you are a classics fan, you will love this movie and if you are interested in a well acted drama, you will also love this suspensful movie. It is not for the action-packed special effects buff but there are plenty of those out there for you.Read full review

One of the classics by Orson Welles, and Edward G. Robinson. Well acted drama about Nazi trying to escape from his crimes by settling in a small town USA. Until one person arrives threatening to expose him.
