A quiet slow paced film that hits you with sly humor and quiet examination of character’s lives. Don’t give up on it. It’s worth watching to the end. it has become one of my favorite slice of life films.

A pair of taciturn Scandinavians find themselves in an absurd situation: a Norwegian is assigned to observe a bachelor Swede in his kitchen and record all activity for a government efficiency study. To avoid any "contamination" of the collected data, the two men are forbidden to speak or otherwise interact with eac other. The Swede has no enthusiasm for the project, and while he tolerates the observer seated in an enormous high-chair, he make any effort to make the task easier. If you like your humor drier than Wasa crispbread, this movie will appeal to you; for slapstick and witty repartee, you'll need to look elsewhere.

I can see how this wouldn’t be a major market item, but it’s very thought provoking. Value the people around you while you have them!

The humor is subtle and slow. If you enjoy the type of humor in The Detectorists, you'll love this. The subtitling is easily legible. I mention that because I've seen careless subtitling with white text against a white background.

All around well done movie. A bit quirky and nicely paced. A movie you can smile to all the way through.
