When I returned from Vietnam in late 1968 a few months later both my wife and I were in Seattle and went to see HAIR "The Love Rock Musical" live at the 5th Ave Theater. It was the last show before the close of the production. It had the original New York Broadway cast playing along with the original producer and director. It was fabulous considering what I had been through several months before. I liked the original CD as it was not a copy or reproduced version and sounded authentic as it should, there is a difference. My purchasing it brought back the memories of the original play, my life, and my wife in that era. What are memories worth? In my case it was a bargain. Besides the seller services were accurate and quick.
For those who enjoy a hybrid of Broadway and rock music, "Hair" will certainly grow on you! This is a CD of the classic show, and is a constant joy to hear. The price was very reasonable, and I was very satisfied with the transaction.

They don't make musicals like this anymore... truly genious from the lyrics to the tunes, performed by some of the best of the 20th century- Although The Waverly is now an IFC small screen movie theatre on Sixth Avenue and West Third, it will always be where a boy named Frank Mills imprinted a young character's life, and my own, as I sang along to these songs long before I could understand what they mean. Still love it.
I used to love listening to this album on 8 track in my car! So glad to find another copy. What a memory of when the world was cosmic and meant something!

During this time of War and internal Strife, Hair Resonates. Many of the songs are just as timely today as they were in the 60s & 70s. Hair is a call to action and needs to be revived and updated. Hair is a snapshot of the times and relevant today because of the War Themes.
Forty years of HAIR! Very good album with 1 or 2 tracks not originally in the LP albums of the 70's and 80's. These are the original studio recordings we all heard in 1968 and thereafter. Its refreshing to get to hear this all over again plus the bonus tracks add a little flair.
