When I first heard Jack Johnson's music about 10 years ago, I liked it, but maybe wasnt't "feeling it". However, that changed when my girlfriend commented on it being such good background music for a romantic interlude (Keepin' it clean for the kids.). After concurring, and wanted the interludes to continue, I bought her the CD. She digs it, sometimes digs me, and we can all dig the world a bit more. With it's catchy percussive beat, it's stuff to workout on a treadmill to as well. Enjoy.

Ok, so you know how most pop artists that get big and grow in popularity eventually make a dozen albums and the true fans always say the early work was the best. That argument may still fit JJ years from now, but right now I think he just keeps getting better. I listened to an interview of Jack, and he said that when he made this CD that he did what he always does when he records music. He gets his friends together, goes out in the garage (which is still make shift with foam insulation on the walls and a simply recording setup) and just plays his music. He talked about how he can't do it any other way and that he likes to back home in Hawaii when he makes his albums. The flow comes back and hes able to clear up. I think this may be the reason he will never "sell out" or lose his smooth touch. He is just a real guy who makes great music. It comes from his heart and hes less affected by the materialistic world of America, and in particular celebrities. In the interview he said that this CD is much brighter and happier than ones in past that were much darker. This is true, his past albums were more about social injustice and wrongs of the world. I can still hear some of that in this CD but there is more sunshine and hope in this one. I dont think theres any reason to stop singing about the wrongs but its nice to have a change. He also said that the birth of his child just made him a different person and that shows in this CD, brighter and happier. I have too many favorite songs to list any. My girlfriend had played the song "Banana Pancakes" for me one morning, while we were having a lazy day together. This song made me feel so warm and fuzzy on the inside I had to have this CD. So, I jumped onto ebay to see if anyone else had herd of this man "Jack Johnson" and they had. I was able to find the song that led me to the album, "In Between Dreams", and now I am a huge Jack Johnson fan. I hope I can find tickets to next concert

Loved it! what else can i say I think one of the best of our time. I love all his cds! Next im buying his CURIOUS GEORGE cd and is already one of the best cd i have ever heard. I love the song on it called upside down. Jack Johnson's style is very cool to me very real makes me want to go sit at the beach and watch the sun set. I have one of his cds on when ever I have a BBQ and im out side enjoying good times. If you dont have one of his cds, get one here on ebay, it will not cost you much and its well worth it.
I heard this in an adorable gift shop and had to find out who it was singing! Jack Johnson. In Between Dreams was the title of that CD. I immediately got it and have since given one each to several friends who also LOVE it! It's easy to listen too after a stressful day, and/or while cleaning the house! (Or just kicking back and hangin' out!) Love it! Makes me want to get all of his work! I highly recommend this to young and old alike who like low-key music, but not so much so it puts you to sleep!
