If you like real down home type mysteries than you can't beat Jimmie Ruth Evans, who writes the "Trailer Park Mysteries" with Wanda Nell Culpepper and her best friend, Mayrene mixing it up with the locals in Tullahoma, and trying to find out who killed her ex-husband Bobby Ray. All fingers point to Wanda Nell, but did she really have the time to kill her no-account ex while working as a waitress at the Kountry Kitchen and then the midnight shift at Budget Mart as a shelf stocker? Seems Bobby Ray had a lot of good ole boys on his side, including the sheriff's duputy, not to mention all the women he cheated with while married to Wanda Nell. This is a very different and appealing mystery. Forget sophistication and focus on fried green tomatoes, grits and sweet tea.
I have read all three books by Jimmie Ruth Evans and I want to read more. I enjoy the charactures and all the situations Wanda Nell gets into. Maryane is great all of the people are .
