This is a great cd in every way. Robert Plant has never had a mediocre studio release, although I've enjoyed some more than others over the many years that I've been a fan of his solo career. He really hits it out of the ballpark on this one. The influences draw from rock, a bit of Zeppelinesque (but not much), even has hints of an Eastern (Indian style) musical influence and feel. There simply isn't a bad song on this disk, but let me tell you that there are indeed a couple that really, really stand out as the best. The first track that really lept out at me (and caused me to relisten to it repeatedly before finishing the rest of the disk) is track 5 "All the King's Horses" This is such a simple and emotional song, Plant has a soft voice as he tells the story of this song (which also reminds me of a Jimmy Page hit with his old band The Firm although that song has a completely different feel, albeit a similar name), as the song unfolds w/ a simple acoustic guitar you can't help but to marvel that after several decades Robert still has one of the best and most distinctive voices in all of rock n roll. The second track that really stood out on this disk is "Takamaba" and here is why I earlier described this release as having an Eastern influence. The use of many different instruments, and feelings evoked by the flowing style coupled with some of the heaviest guitar work on the entire disk is a welcome change and harkens back to some of his earlier work on a previous release by him titled "Now and Zen". I'd highly recommend you buy this disk, especially since you can find a used copy for under $5 now.Read full review
Angry potato again. Paid too much for used cd. Thought it was rare. Cd package is damaged, not almost new. Too much hassle to return it.

It Seem's that Robert plant has always been busy. Staying out of the limelight until he thinks we are ready. His voice is unmistakeable yet they way he delivers is always new. Mr. Plant demonstrates his ablity to reach far beyond our recollections. It's really strong album that makes you really think. I guess thats what I like most about It.
Great
