This game is amazing! The fact that you can CHOOSE to be a Hero, a Villain, or Normal is amazing! There are over 360 different outcomes to this game! 360 different endings. 360 different ways to play the game! There are 32 different levels, each with 3 different missions in each. But this game isn't as complicated as you think. Shadow can choose to get the Chaos Emerald in the end (Normal), help a friend of Sonic (Hero), or do a mission for Black Doom (Villain). That's it! It's that simple! Along the way in all of your missions, you learn more about Shadow's past. Once you play all of the 32 levels, you should know Shadow's past. This was my first 'Sonic the Hedgehog' game, and it has lead me to getting all of the Sonic games for the PS2! (Huge impact) That's how great the game was! Any more concerns?Read full review

My son is an avid Shadow fan. All he wanted for Christmas was this game. So we got it for him with the expectation that it would be a lot like Sonic Heroes or other previous titles. It's similar in gameplay and concept, and generally a pretty cool game. It's rated E:10+. I hadn't ever run into the rating before now, and I think I know why... it's stupid. The mild cartoon violence is to be expected - it's a video game. But "mild language"? What's the point? My 9 year old son gets to hear his current favorite character say "damnit" every time he loses his rings, "Damn... not here" when he loses a life, and even Knuckles tosses the word around - and it shows up in the subtitles when he uses it. Point being, it doesn't improve the experience of playing the game, so why include any even mildly questionable content? Are there teenagers out there thinking Shadow is somehow cooler because he says "damnit"? I doubt anybody is going to take a cartoon hedgehog more seriously based on his vocabulary, and all it stands to do is reinforce bad habits in kids. And let's face it... a cartoon hedgehog is going to appeal to kids first. So that's my rant. And I feel better now. :)Read full review
I always been a big fan of Sonic the Hedgehog series so this is just another game I welcome to my collection. Shadow the hedgehog, much similar to Sonic, can run just as fast as him however becacuse of his "lost" of memories he can't remember whenever he was good or bad. The plot to the game is to be either good, bad or neutral, depending on the person choice. I enjoy being evil, you always get the most kick out of everything. ^_^ The parts I dislike about the game were the game play. Camera angle drove me insane until I got the hand of it. But other than that, its a fun game, and if you like explosives and gun shooting type games, this is a game for you.
This one of the only sega games i like. It has great graphics, it`s difficulty levels are fair and theirs a variety of levels to go to instead of one story line. The 2 player vs. is excellent, and you get to desroy almost anything. Unlike the other sega games in Shadow the Hedgehog you get to use guns. Its pretty easy to beat one storyline and if you beat certain bosses at the end of each story lines you unlock certain weapons whe you play the story over again. But If you repeat every thing off t.v(same goes for child) and you and your child is not aloud to say damn it then you shoud be carefulof what you or your child say but thats the only bad thing in it so if you can ever get this game get it period!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
