Mammalian Anatomy of the Cat is immensely helpful for anyone who has to dissect a cat in an anatomy course. It's the most complete text I've found. It wasn't required for my course, but just about everyone in the class has purchased it anyway... that's how helpful it is. The full color photographs are accompanied by small diagrams that show which portion of the cat you're looking at and what position the body is in. Most books don't have that feature which can make it very confusing trying to figure out which way the body is turned in order to compare it to your actual dissection specimen. At first I didn't like lack of binding (book is loose leaf so you need a binder)but it does make it easier to have the book sitting open in a lab setting. The one downside to this book is that some of the muscle names are different than those in my class' required text.Read full review
Some highlighting that I likely would’ve done myself anyway. Spiral binding cracked and very flimsy, going to use it in a 3 ring binder instead so it’s protected

Best dissection guide for cat anatomy that I have seen...Dr. Hebert

Very detailed descriptions, with useful picture! The book is well organized, and explaines everything thoroughly. If you think you may struggle with anatomy, buy this book. The only down side is the fact that it is a "loof leaf" book and therefore must be put in a binder. Occasionally the holes rip and sheets fall out.
This book was excellent for Anatomy Physiology II. If dissecting a cat this is the book to have at your fingertips. I wish this book was binded versus loose but this book served it's purpose well. I highly recommend this book for students wanting color photos of the specimens.
