Who'd of thought that that the better of the two would be Lee Remick in Baby, but that one played like a broken record thanks to an unimaginable writer. Even great actors can't make up for a boring storyline. Watching McQueen mouthing the singing in a rock band was so bad it was hysterical. Perhaps both of these actors worst movie. Compared to the former movie, the war movie was surprisingly better but not great either. It was a Brittish production and somehow they got Robert Wagner to actually act just a notch better than his usual mediocre level. This was probably one of Steve's first, but you can see he already developed his sterotype tough guy bar room fight mentality. Same old same old. The special effect toy planes and parachutes were hysterical.

Good example of McQueen's ability. Good from top to bottom and good content for a skilled director and well supported McQueen ability winds up on display thruout the DVD.
Two great Steve McQueen movies at a good price. Highly recommend 👌

The main reason I purchased the Steve BcQueen Box Set? Simple. I am a die-hard fan of Steve McQueen the actor. In the War Lover he was beloved by his bomber crew and pretty much respected/admired by other fliers. Reminds me of men I knew in the military and law enforcement. There was a glitch, however, in his mind-set - which made the movie all that more interesting. The former movie, was still McQueen but a pathetic character so that shows his range. Happy to add to my collection. B&W are sometimes more dramatic and these two in the set were just that!!
STEVE MCQUEEN PLAYS THE PART PERFECT AWESOME
