well out of the box I mounted the tourtech and plugged in the GPS. Set a destination and took off... worked great. hit a rain storm and kept on ticking along... I can go inside a restaurant and eat without taking off the GPS now that it is in the locked secure cradle. Love it. Need new updates from Garmin
It is great if you want an original GPS for your 2008 Victory Vision Touring bike. But I'm learning that you cannot update them. So technically they are absolutely obsolete.
